I am a freelance journalist, nonfiction writer, editorial photographer, and the author of Surf, Skate & Snow: Contre-cultures, an illustrated history of the subcultures generated by board sports, published in November 2013 by the French publisher Editions Courtes et Longues. Surf, Skate & Snow was awarded the 2014 Sportel Book Prize, rewarding the best illustrated sport books of the year.
My interests are diverse and so are the other topics that I have covered since I started my career as a copy editor and reporter for French newspapers Sud-ouest, La Montagne and Le Figaro. I contribute today in both French — my native language — and English to publications on both sides of the Atlantic. My articles have appeared in French art magazines Beaux-arts, L’Oeil and Le Journal des Arts, French food magazine Gault & Millau, as well as a National Geographic book on my native region of Aquitaine.
More recently, I co-authored the 2013, 2015 and 2017 editions of Cartoville Boston, a French travel guide to Boston published by Gallimard Loisirs.
An avid fly angler, I also contribute regularly as a writer and photographer to the fly-fishing magazine Eastern Fly Fishing.
